PREVIOUS EVENTS:

2018 VSC Show at Glenlyon Norfolk

Reminiscing (once again) about our annual SHOW at the Glenlyon Norfolk School: Our Show, displayed at the GLN Beach Drive location since 1974, was very successful. We sold 33 paintings and over 1000 people attended our show. Many people commented about the excellent quality of the paintings, the delicious refreshments, the great layout, and how well it was organized. Kudos to all of you for your support and hard work, making our Show a success once again. A special THANK YOU to our Show Director Sharon Stone and Show Director Assistant Bonny Myers.

Here are a few pics of our 109th SHOW.

Bonny invited her Walking Club friends to the Show!
On April 10 we had a delightful and 'lighthearted' Demo on 'En Plein Air' painting by Desiree Bond.
This Demo gave us new insights on how to improve on our upcoming 'En Plein Air' Summer Sessions.
'Show and Share' at the end of our Tuesday afternoon session.
KUDOS to JOAN HEAD, whose acrylic painting, depicting the irises of the Government House gardens, was presented to the Lieutenant Governor Judith Guichon as a farewell gift. A great honour! You make us proud.
Joan sold five paintings within the past month: two during the Show, and three within the next few weeks. You are on a roll!

Maureen Ness has sold 16 paintings since January!! WOW. Congrats.
During the AGM meeting of April 17, three of our VSC members were recognized as Honorary Members:
Caroline Hunter, Rory Kirby and Kathleen Metcalfe.
Thank you for your sustained and significant contribution to our club!
CONGRATULATIONS!
Did you know that Kathleen has been a VSC member since 1985? Very impressive!
On the picture below, Caroline and Rory display the 'Honorary Member' certificate, which was presented to them by 17/18 VSC President Rand Harrison.
Our annual AGM Meeting at the Windsor Park Pavillion.
Our annual CLUB LUNCHEON on April 24 was an enjoyable event.
Here are a few pictures of this get-together.
LOST and FOUND.
If any of these items, left after the Club Luncheon, are yours, please contact Christine. Thanks!
Nirmala requested sharing these very cute hummingbirds pictures with you. A sure sign Spring has arrived! These hummers are just a few feet away from Nirmala's window, in her apple tree.
